InfraStar S is a recumbent exercise bike for longevity clinics, wellness centers, recovery facilities, medical spas, fitness studios and premium hospitality spaces. It combines low-impact cycling with controlled lower-body negative pressure, infrared heat, optional Cryonick cold-air therapy, 660 nm red light and aromatherapy.
Interactive digital entertainment makes each session more engaging and comfortable. Together, these features create a technology-driven exercise experience designed to complement physical activity, body-contouring programs, circulation-focused wellness and recovery, while supporting long-term health and fitness goals.

Controlled Lower-Body Negative Pressure
During an InfraStar S session, the user’s lower body is positioned inside a transparent, sealed chamber while the head, shoulders and upper torso remain outside. A vacuum motor gradually reduces the air pressure inside the chamber by up to −30 mbar, creating controlled lower-body negative pressure.
Unlike a positive-pressure hyperbaric oxygen chamber, InfraStar S does not increase atmospheric pressure and does not enclose the user’s head. Its technology is more accurately described as lower-body negative pressure, or vacuum-assisted exercise.
The pressure differential redistributes blood toward the pelvis and legs and creates a distinctive cardiovascular and mechanical stimulus during exercise. Research involving lower-body negative pressure has documented changes in lower-limb blood flow, muscle perfusion and cardiovascular responses. When combined with pedaling, the repeated contraction of the leg muscles also supports normal venous return and lymphatic movement.
Because the user’s head remains completely outside the chamber, the experience is open, social and visually connected to the surrounding room. This can be especially valuable for people who dislike enclosed chambers or experience claustrophobic discomfort. Three glass panels—positioned across the top and on both sides—provide excellent visibility and create a bright, spacious feeling throughout the session.

Low-Impact Recumbent Exercise
InfraStar S incorporates a recumbent bicycle that provides controlled cardiovascular exercise from a stable, supported seated position. The backrest supports the torso while the horizontal pedal arrangement reduces vertical impact on the ankles, knees and hips.
Recumbent cycling is particularly suitable for users who want to exercise without the repeated impact associated with running or conventional treadmill training. Proper seat and pedal adjustment can also help maintain a more comfortable spinal and pelvic position. This makes InfraStar S an attractive option for active-aging programs, deconditioned users and people who prefer a stable alternative to upright exercise.

Vacuum-Assisted Body-Conditioning Programs
Combining cycling with lower-body pressure may offer advantages beyond conventional stationary exercise. A randomized study involving overweight women evaluated diet, cycling and alternating lower-body pressure. The group using diet, exercise and lower-body pressure reported greater improvements in perceived skin condition and cellulite appearance than the comparison groups.
These findings support the use of InfraStar S as part of a broader body-conditioning program. However, results depend on session frequency, exercise intensity, nutrition, hydration and individual physiology. InfraStar S should not be advertised as producing guaranteed localized fat loss.

Optional Cryonick Cold-Air Program
InfraStar S can be connected to the optional Cryonick cooling module. Its powerful compressor system produces directed cold airflow inside the lower-body chamber, with programmed air temperatures reaching as low as −20°C/−4°F.
The cold air creates a winter-exercise sensation around the legs and lower body while the user remains comfortably seated and the head remains outside the cooled chamber. In response to cold exposure, the body activates thermoregulatory mechanisms intended to preserve core temperature. Cold exposure can affect skin blood flow, thermal sensation and energy metabolism, but the magnitude of these effects varies according to temperature, exposure time, body composition and individual response.
Cold modalities are commonly used in wellness and sports recovery programs to help manage temporary post-exercise soreness and discomfort. Research involving cold exposure and cryotherapy has reported potential effects on pain and inflammatory markers, although InfraStar S uses localized cold airflow and has not been established as equivalent to whole-body cryotherapy chambers operating at substantially lower temperatures.
The Cryonick program offers longevity and recovery facilities a distinctive way to combine movement with controlled thermal stimulation in one session.

Heat-and-Cold Contrast Experience
Facilities equipped with both infrared heating and the Cryonick module can offer separate heat and cold programs as part of a contrast-wellness protocol.
Infrared heat and cold airflow create different physiological sensations and vascular responses. Heat promotes warming and vasodilation at the skin, while cold promotes cooling and vasoconstriction. Alternating these environments can create an invigorating contrast experience that may complement exercise recovery and wellness routines.
Research on traditional contrast therapy shows possible benefits for perceived muscle soreness and recovery, but protocols differ considerably and the evidence remains mixed. InfraStar S therefore allows facilities to develop professionally supervised heat, cold and contrast experiences without promising specific medical outcomes.

Integrated Aromatherapy
InfraStar S includes a dedicated aromatherapy container and delivery nozzle that disperses a light aromatic mist during selected sessions. The aroma adds a sensory dimension to exercise and can help create a calming, spa-like environment.
Clinical research indicates that certain inhaled aromas may help some individuals experience lower situational anxiety and improved relaxation. Effects vary by fragrance, concentration and personal preference. Only manufacturer-approved, skin-compatible solutions should be used, and customers with allergies, asthma or fragrance sensitivity should be screened before treatment.

15.6-Inch Smart Entertainment Display
Exercise becomes easier to maintain when the experience is comfortable and engaging. The integrated 15.6-inch Wi-Fi display provides access to compatible online entertainment and media services.
Users can watch YouTube, Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, access Facebook, listen to Spotify, or explore live radio stations from around the world through Radio Garden while exercising. Separate subscriptions and internet access may be required, and application availability can vary by region.
This entertainment platform can improve the perceived experience of longer sessions and help users remain consistent with their exercise programs.
